While most Council consider asset maintenance tasks such as the elimination of footpath trip hazards to be a high priority, collecting and managing the data has proven to be a complex and onerous task.
Nillumbik Shire Council required a system to collect, store, act and record information and outcomes relating to the effects of the Black Saturday bushfires on 7 February 2009. The system needed to integrate to Council’s Pathway System – Property and Customer Request modules and GIS.
