It’s Audit Time

With the expected high increase of local tourism this year encouraged by the State Government, NOW is the perfect time to do your annual Audit to make sure you are doing your duty of care to those visiting your Environments.
Audits should be done a minimum of once or twice per year.
Here are the main areas to check:
- Make sure signs are correct location.
- Make sure sign exists.
- Verify the Alpha Code is correct.
- Complete check on the condition of Sign (no damage, graffiti, faded)
- Make sure no foliage is in the way (cut away grass or plants) affecting readability.
Please note that each Emergency Marker has its own specific GPS co-ordinates and directional information. If you were to duplicate these markers and install them at other locations that means the information Emergency Services are provided is WRONG.
What does that mean?
It means it will take more time for emergency services to respond to the correct location of incident and eventually it could cost someone’s life.
What can you do?
If you believe you need a marker at another location that is not too far from the existing emergency marker, please contact us at emergencymarkers@rapidmap.com and we will assist you in this situation.
