Many Surf Life Saving Clubs and Land Managers in Victoria have been contacting us to add new Emergency Markers to their beaches as these statistics keep rising. They realise the importance of Emergency Markers in location verification and a massive improvement in response times.
Emergency Markers assists in explaining WHERE on a long stretch of beach the patient is located. HOW emergency services can find the closest access point to reach them. WHAT equipment can be taken to that location. The existing yellow signs (beach markers) can only tell them a beach name and with multiple access points to any given beach in a location that can stretch for kilometres, this vital information is attached to the 3 Letter 3 Number code on an individual Emergency Marker which makes the difference between life and death.
So as a Landowner, what are you doing as a prevention program, campaign, partnership or research within your community to keep people safe from drownings this coming summer season to Save Time and Save Lives?
